You've seen the list of nominees, now take a closer look at the artists nominated for Song Of The Year for the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Song Of The Year

The Song Of The Year race features four songs that have topped the Billboard Hot 100 — Pink Featuring Nate Ruess, "Just Give Me A Reason," Bruno Mars, "Locked Out Of Heaven," Katy Perry, "Roar," and Lorde, "Royals" — and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Featuring Mary Lambert, "Same Love," which peaked at No. 11.

The category includes first-time GRAMMY nominees Lambert, Joel Little, Lorde, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Bonnie McKee, and Henry Walters. Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Perry are returning nominees looking to win their first career GRAMMY. Mars, Jeff Bhasker, Pink, and Ruess are looking to add to their respective GRAMMY-winning career totals.



Pink Featuring Nate Ruess, "Just Give Me A Reason"
(Jeff Bhasker, Pink & Nate Ruess, songwriters)

Bhasker has three nominations this year, eight prior GRAMMY nominations and three prior GRAMMY wins. Pink has two nominations this year, 13 prior GRAMMY nominations and three prior GRAMMY wins. Ruess has two nominations this year, six prior GRAMMY nominations and two prior GRAMMY wins.


Bruno Mars, "Locked Out Of Heaven"

Mars has four nominations this year, 14 prior GRAMMY nominations and 1 prior GRAMMY win. Lawrence and Levine have two GRAMMY nominations each, as well as 10 prior GRAMMY nominations each.

Perry has two nominations this year, as well as nine prior GRAMMY nominations. Gottwald (aka Dr. Luke) has two nominations this year, as well as two prior GRAMMY nominations. Martin has two nominations this year, as well as five prior GRAMMY nominations. McKee has one nomination this year, marking the first GRAMMY nomination of her career. Walter has one nomination this year, marking the first GRAMMY nomination of his career.


Lorde, "Royals"

O'Connor (aka Lorde) has four nominations this year, marking the first GRAMMY nominations of her career. Little has two nominations this year, marking the first GRAMMY nominations of his career.

Haggerty (aka Macklemore) and Lewis have seven nominations this year, marking the first GRAMMY nominations of their careers. Lambert has two nominations this year, marking the first GRAMMY nominations of her career.
