Songs In A Minor
Alicia Keys' soulful vocal stylings and multi-instrumental talents have made her one of the most successful female artists of the last decade. She burst onto the R&B scene in 2001 at age 20 when her debut album, Songs In A Minor, topped the Billboard 200 and spawned five GRAMMYs: Best R&B Album, Best New Artist and three awards for "Fallin'," Song Of The Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. With the release of The Diary Of Alicia Keys in 2003, she proved her staying power, winning four more GRAMMYs, including Best R&B Album. In 2009 Keys collaborated with Jay-Z for the song "Empire State Of Mind," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won GRAMMYs for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Keys' most recent studio album, 2012's Girl On Fire, became her fifth chart-topping album.
