Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Vivian Girls had called it quits after their last show in 2014, but now the indie lo-fi trio are back, announcing a new album, Memory, due out Sept. 20. The group released the new album's first single, "Sick," giving fans a glimpse of what's to come from the reunion.

A statement on the band's website calls the reunion record, "anything but a pleasant reminiscence," adding, "The latent darkness that always haunted their records is on full display upon their return. Vivian Girls are back and they haven't forgotten what they went through... Memory is an album filled with personal reflections on toxic relationships, the false promise of new love, mental health struggles, and finding ways to accept oneself amidst it all. And of course, there is the trademark mystery that set the band apart during its first incarnation."

Vivian Girls also revealed 11 U.S. tour dates, commencing Oct. 4 in Los Angeles at the Regent Theatre and hitting San Francisco, Brooklyn, San Diego, Chicago and more before wrapping in Denver on Nov. 3.

The band will also reissue their first two out-of-print albums, 2009's Everything Goes Wrong and their 2008 self-titled debut, on the same day Memory arrives.
