Resplendent with Björk's trademark haunting layered harmonies and airy minor melodies, "Blissing Me" sees the multitalented Icelandic performer gallivanting amid a blinding white void, clad in wispy blue silk with her face painted in inimitable Björk fashion.
The new video follows hot on the heels of Utopia's lead single, "The Gate," released exactly one month ago today. A collaboration with rising darling of the indie experimental pop blogosphere Arca, "The Gate" drew praise from critics for Björk's powerful vocal delivery, and the her expanded incorporation of persistent motifs employed throughout her previous album Vulnicura.
Regarding the lyrical content fans can expect on Utopia, Björk has explained that "this new album is about a love that’s even greater. [I]t’s about rediscovering love — but in a spiritual way."
