In 2004, soul-pop household name John Legend had released his debut album, Get Lifted, which famously featured the piano-led single "Ordinary People."

Legend performed said single onstage at the 48th GRAMMY Awards in 2006, and, in our latest edition of GRAMMY Rewind, you can relive the moment below.

Legend won his first three GRAMMYs that night at the 48th GRAMMY Awards: Best R&B Album (Get Lifted), Best Male R&B Vocal Performance ("Ordinary People") and Best New Artist. The year before, at the 47th GRAMMY Awards in 2005, Legend made his GRAMMY stage debut, performing "I'll Take You There" with R&B queen Mavis Staples.
