GRAMMY winner Ed Sheeran came into 2018 ruling the popular Billboard Hot 100 chart list and now it's been revealed that he is also ruling charts on the music recognizing platform Shazam.

The singer/songwriter’s smash hit, "Perfect," is the most Shazamed song of the year through the end of June, according to Billboard. Sheeran is also the most Shazamed artist of 2018 so far. Shazam is a mobile app that lets users all over the world discover new music.

Nicky Jam and J. Balvin's "X" came in as the second most Shazamed track of 2018. Balvin is also the second most Shazamed artist followed by Drake, Dua Lipa and Kendrick Lamar.

"Even though Ed's album ÷ is now more than a year old, the songs from it continue to be Shazamed in large numbers," Julian Marshall, Shazam's global head of content said. "With some big releases incoming from DrakeNicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, and tracks like 'X' [by Nicky Jam and J Balvin] still in our worldwide top 10, it'll be interesting to see if he's still top of the charts at the end of the year."

"Perfect" is on Sheeran’s latest album, ÷ (Divide), which beat out Coldplay's Kaleidoscope EPLana Del Rey's Lust For LifeImagine DragonsEvolveKesha's Rainbow, and Lady Gaga's Joanne for the Best Pop Vocal Album at the 60th GRAMMY Awards.
