Apparently, Deadmau5 is looking to fill a void on his already-impressive résumé. In addition to a new album, his indie label, a BBC Radio 1 show, and touring, the GRAMMY-nominated producer/DJ is adding a brand-new podcast to the mix.

The Canadian native has announced that he will launch the "podcast mix show type thingy" in 2018.

While details regarding the format of the podcast have yet to be revealed, it's a sure bet Deadmau5 will feature plenty of music on the show, in addition to potential guest interviews and sharing his opinions on topics germane to the dance/electronica community.

In September the past six-time GRAMMY nominee confirmed a follow-up to his eighth studio album, 2016's W:/2016ALBUM, was in the works.

In the meantime, Deadmau5 recently ended his BBC Radio 1 show residency. To commemorate that gig, he dropped an extensive 22-song playlist that highlighted his 12-month radio stint, featuring music from Pryda, Midland, Oneohtrix Point Never, Regal, and Slam, among others.

On the road, the producer/DJ is set to close out his 2017 itinerary with an appearance at Insomniac Countdown on New Year's Eve in San Bernardino, Calif.

Of course, those looking for insight into Deadmau5's creative mindset can get a taste via his popular online Masterclass Electronic Music Production course, during which he teaches "how he approaches melodies, mixing and mastering to make unique sounds you can't find in a cookie cutter sample pack."
