GRAMMY Week is just around the corner, and the GRAMMY Museum will be kicking off Music's Biggest Week in style... literally. In honor of the opening of the new exhibit, Beyond Black — The Style Of Amy Winehouse, the GRAMMY Museum will host exclusive programming and offer free entry to the museum on Jan. 20, kicking off GRAMMY Week 2020.
The exclusive kick-off event for GRAMMY Museum members will feature Winehouse's stylist, Naomi Parry, and Winehouse's close friend, Catriona Gourlay, telling the stories and discussing the history behind the costumes in the exhibit. Hosted by music journalist Eve Barlow the program will take place at the Museum’s Clive Davis Theater and will be followed by a free public GRAMMY Week launch party.
Beyond Black — The Style Of Amy Winehouse will offer a retrospective of Winehouse's career, her biggest influences, her most iconic fashion moments. The exhibit will also touch on how Winehouse's untimely passing led her family to create the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which works to inspire children and young people to build their self-esteem and resilience so that they can flourish.
The exhibit opens to the public on Jan. 17 and will run through April 13, 2020. The exclusive program for Museum members takes place from 5 –6 p.m. PT followed by the free public museum entry, which is first come, first served, from 6 – 9 p.m. PT.
