"Me and my band and crew have always lived by the code: 'Work hard, play harder.'"

  • Born Kenneth Arnold Chesney March 26, 1968, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
  • Kenny Chesney broke into the Top 10 with "Fall In Love" and the title track from 1995's All I Need To Know. That album, his first for a major label, set the stage for a string of platinum releases throughout the rest of the 1990s and 2000s.
  • Chesney received his first career GRAMMY nomination for 2004 for Best Country Collaboration With Vocal for "Hey Good Lookin'" with Clint Black, Jimmy Buffett, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, and George Strait. He made his GRAMMY stage debut performing "Better As A Memory" at the 51st GRAMMY Awards in 2009.
  • Chesney likes grilled cheese so much that he wrote an ode to the sandwich, "Red Wine And Grilled Cheese."
  • Chesney visited the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live for An Evening With Kenny Chesney in 2011 to talk about his career and life on the road. He also performed "One Step Up" during Bruce Springsteen's MusiCares Person of the Year celebration. The annual Person of the Year gala raises funds for MusiCares, which provides services and resources that cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies for music people.
  • Chesney's The Big Revival Tour partnered with the Love Hope Strength Foundation's Get On The List campaign, helping attendees join a national bone marrow registry and find possible matches for donors.
