This year’s R&B Field includes first-time nominees such as Luke James, Frank Ocean and Elle Varner. Previous nominees looking for their first GRAMMY include Robert Glasper, Miguel, Gregory Porter, and Tamia. Veteran artists looking to add to their GRAMMY output include Anita Baker, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, Anthony Hamilton, and Usher.

Luke James, "I Want You"

James is up for one nomination this year, marking the first GRAMMY nomination of his career.

Miguel, "Adorn"

Miguel is up for five nominations this year. He has one prior GRAMMY nomination.

Usher, "Climax"

Usher is up for one nomination this year. He has 17 prior nominations and seven GRAMMY wins. Best Traditional R&B Performance Anita Baker, "Lately" Baker is up for one nomination this year. She has 17 prior nominations and eight GRAMMY wins.

Beyoncé, "Love On Top"

Beyoncé is up for one nomination this year. She has 40 prior nominations and 16 GRAMMY wins.

Fiona is up for one nomination this year. She has four prior nominations and two GRAMMY wins.

Gregory Porter, "Real Good Hands"
