  • Released in 2013, "Avant Gardener," from Courtney Barnett's The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas, brought her widespread attention from the music press. Her debut album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, was named one of the best of 2015 by Rolling StonePitchfork and The Guardian.
     
  • Barnett received her first career GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist in 2015.
     
  • Did you know? Early in her career, Barnett played open mics while doing odd jobs to support herself. These included delivering pizzas and handing out surveys on trains.
