Sanz's No Es Lo Mismo won his first career GRAMMY for Best Latin Pop Album at the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2004. At the 5th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, the album netted Sanz four Latin GRAMMYs, including his third career win for Album Of The Year.
Sanz was honored as the 2017 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year for his music achievements and his outstanding philanthropic work with organizations such as Doctors Without Borders and Save The Children.
