  • Born Sonny John Moore on Jan. 15, 1988, in Los Angeles, California
  • Skrillex's fifth EP, 2011's Bangarang, hit No. 14 on the Billboard 200. His debut full-length album, 2014's Recess, peaked at No. 4. He scored his first Top 10 hit with "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Diplo and Justin Bieber
  • Skrillex earned his first three GRAMMY wins for 2011 at the 54th GRAMMY Awards for Best Dance Recording ("Scary Sprites And Nice Monsters"), Best Dance/Electronica Album (Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites) and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical ("Cinema [Skirllex Remix]").
  • Skrillex was originally known as Twipz before he changed his moniker. 
  • In 2015 Skrillex, in partnership with Bridges for Music, donated DJ music equipment to local youth programs on stops along his Full Flex Express Canadian tour.
