Caitlyn Smith has built a successful career writing for some of music's biggest names. With her debut LP release looming close on the horizon, she sat down with the Recording Academy backstage at Austin City Limits 2017 to share the story behind "Starfire," the title track from her 2016 EP, and lead single for her forthcoming debut album.

"It's really my theme song," she reveals.
