"What Song Is This?" Comes To Google Assistant
Last month's smart gear announcement for "Made by Google" made consumer appetites quiver, but the rollout of song recognition on Google Assistant offers quick satisfaction, telling you track information when you want it — or feel you need it.
As we move into lives increasingly voice-activated, it's important for what people want to do with music to be supported by new technology, software, and in this case "skills."
These innovations share information back at Google's own data centers, and Artificial Intelligence tries to connect the dots between what we like and what we will like. It shouldn't be long before micro-moments like asking Google Assistant "What song is this?" can be analyzed in-depth for more engaging interactions.
The whole range of song recommendation hovers on the other side of discrete music messages, like recognizing a track. Knowing what consumers like also drives advertising, and with continued advancements like this one, your musical tastes are becoming a consumer segment all their own.
