In the video, directed by Gorillaz' co-founder Jamie Hewlett, the cartoon characters wreak havoc on Los Angeles' world-famous Venice Beach, with singer 2D roller-skating up and down the boardwalk and other members sabotaging street basketball games and dominating at beach chess. Black shows up as the band's real-life guitarist, mimicking the song's tasty licks (played on the record by GRAMMY-winning guitar great George Benson) while interacting with the animated troublemakers.
All of the action and hijinks of the "Humility" video fit the song's funky trip-pop perfectly. Gorillaz also released a second new song from The Now Now, the lively dance-ready instrumental "Lake Zurich."
