Watch Camila Cabello's Journey In New 'Made In Miami' Documentary
On Feb. 27 Camila Cabello shared her life through YouTube's Artist Spotlight Story production Made In Miami, a heartfelt glimpse into her immigration experience, childhood and family.
Beyond speaking for herself as a solo artist, a task already marked accomplished with the broad support for her album Camila, her unique story begins as a young immigrant whose personal transformations found their home both in Miami and in the music business.
"Getting to share our story and shed light on immigrants immigration issues — I'm really proud of it," Cabello said. "I'm so influenced by Miami, which is why I never left. This is always going to be my home. It made me."
This echoes Cabello speaking up for DREAMers at the 60th GRAMMY Awards. She not only used her story as a platform to speak on behalf of the thousands of DACA recipients, she also embodies great Latinas who have consistently found a way to speak up so that their stories link to everyone who hears and cares.
The Live Q&A the rising star posted with her documentary also gave fans an additional glimpse into the singer/songwriter's life and music, including intel about her upcoming Never Be The Same Tour. We also get to meet a new member of Cabello's family group, Thunder, a loving German shepherd who is still only seven weeks old. What more could we ask for?
