The Recording Academy has announced the selection of artist Marcus Glenn to create the official artwork for the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards. The work, featuring the iconic GRAMMY image, is a colorful acrylic on wood mixed media piece that Glenn fittingly calls "One Nite Outta This World." It will be used as the official artwork for Music's Biggest Night and will grace the cover of the GRAMMY Awards program book, telecast tickets and promotional poster.

The Detroit-based Glenn has created a unique style based in music and movement. His colorful pieces often examine the world of musicians and the interplay of human figures and musical instruments, and use vibrant colors inspired by the rhythm and blues within his works. Glenn is one of the most widely collected contemporary artists and his collectors eagerly await each new piece. His work is currently displayed in prestigious art galleries throughout the United States, England, France, Russia, and Japan, and his commissioned pieces hang in some of the most exclusive private collections in the United States.
Glenn joins a growing list of talented artists, including Shepard Fairey, Charles Fazzino, Frank Gehry, and Peter Max, who have created the annual official GRAMMY artwork.
The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
