Las Vegas was the place to be this weekend, with not only the Billboard Music Awards taking place at MGM Grand, but also Electric Daisy Carnival taking over Las Vegas Motor Speedway for their 22nd annual dance music festival.

All love. All weekend. All of us together. Take this feeling and carry it with you wherever you go. We can't wait to do it again May 17, 18, and 19, 2019. ❤️

EDC shared a mini after-movie from this weekend's festivities via Twitter, but the festival organizers also announced the dates for next year's festival: May 17–19, 2019. The new dates mark the second consecutive year the festival will be in May, moving forward on the calendar from its traditional June slot.

This year's EDC headliners included Martin Garrix, Marshmello, Diplo, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, Kygo, Tiësto, and many more. For those who couldn't make the trek to Sin City, many of the sets were streamed via Mixcloud.

This year also marked the first time EDC introduced camping for festivalgoers, hoping to minimize the traffic in and out of the festival and provide a more immersive experience for some of the approximately 400,000 attendees that descend on Las Vegas over the festival weekend. EDC offered a range of options from air-conditioned campers to tent camping and RV parking.

Just last month, Insomniac completed its inaugural EDC China, bringing the world's biggest dance party to the Shanghai International Music Park April 29–30. The festival also takes place in Mexico, Japan, and Orlando, Fla., where it will be presented Nov. 9–10.

Today Insomniac, which hosts the now-global Electric Daisy Carnival and other major EDM events, announced the highly anticipated lineup for its flagship Las Vegas fest, set to take place May 17–19 this year. EDC 2019 is positively stacked, featuring GRAMMY winners Diplo, David Guetta and Tiësto, plus GRAMMY nominees TOKiMONSTA, Paul Oakenfold, Deadmau5, Above & Beyond and Kaskade.

Deadmau5 will be making his first return to the fest since 2010, bringing his new "Cube 3.0" stage setup, and Guetta will be back for his first time since the 2012 event. Australian singer/songwriter DJ/producer extraordinaire Alison Wonderland, plus GRAMMY-nominated rave icons Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren will also bring fire to the three-day event.

Unlike a typical music festival lineup, EDC lists theirs alphabetically by day, giving way to a treasure hunt to the many gems across the lines of names. Underground techno queens Charlotte De Witte, ANNA and Amelie Lens will all perform at the event, which has eight(!) stages, along with fellow techno heavy-hitter Adam Beyer.

South African DJ/producer and underground house legend Black Coffee will also perform, as well as fellow house heavyweights Green Velvet, Patrick Topping and GRAMMY nominee Eric Prydz. Green Velvet will be offering two sets, one as Get Real, his project with Detroit legend Claude VonStroke.

Several artists will be hopping on the decks together, including Topping, who will be doing a B2B set (a.k.a. back-to-back, or collab set, for those not up on the rave lingo) with fellow British DJ Eats Everything. U.K. dubstep stalwarts Skream and Rusko are on the lineup for an "old skool dubstep set," which, as Your EDM put it, is "absolutely unheard of."

But wait, who are the headliners? Pasquale Rotella, CEO and co-founder of Insomniac, believes that headliners are everyone that attends the festival, spreads the love and makes all the magic possible.

"Being a Headliner means looking at the world a little differently, and seeing beauty and inspiration everywhere you look. It’s about lifting up the people around you and making time for your family and friends. This is a journey we all take together—always connected and committed to one another," Rotella said in a statement on Insomniac's website.

If you want to get your dance on and check out the carnival rides, interactive art and plenty of lights and lasers with EDC in Vegas, you're in luck; tickets are still available. Check out EDC's website for more info.

The stacked lineup for the two-day festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 21 and 22 also includes Jason Aldean, Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, Kelly Clarkson, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, Panic! At The Disco, Rae Sremmurd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more.

The festival's Daytime Stage at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds will host performances by Logic, Dua Lipa, 5 Seconds of Summer, Lil Uzi Vert, Dustin Lynch, Belly, and Greta Van Fleet. Main stage concerts will happen inside the city's T-Mobile Arena and be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Timberlake is enjoying a big year so far, with a Super Bowl performance and his fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, Man Of the Woods, already under his belt in 2018. In March, the pop singer also received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame with his group *NSync.

Underwood is in the midst of a comeback of sorts, returning from an injury sustained last November to deliver the brand new single and video for "Cry Pretty" ahead of her forthcoming new album of the same name.

Limited tickets iHeartRadio Music Festival are available now via pre-sale, and the general public can purchase tickets beginning June 15 via the festival's website.

Since its inception in the '90s, Electric Daisy Carnival has been bringing the best in electronic music to the masses who can't seem to get enough. This year, not only will they hold the annual smash in Las Vegas in May — now with camping! — but this year EDC is headed to China for the first time, and now we know who's performing.

In the first round of lineup announcements, we learned that Alison Wonderland, Andy C, Deadmau5, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and NGHTMRE, among others, will be performing at the inaugural China version of the famed fest, and more lineup announcements are expected to follow.

Honestly, a trip to Electric Daisy Carnival can leave a music fan feeling like all the other festivals are phoning it in. The awe-inspiring production value and eclectic exuberance of the crowd is matched only by the sheer mass of the entire spectacle. Today, we learn Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be lighting up a little earlier next year. EDC has announced the dates for EDC 2018: May 18 to 20.

A post shared by Electric Daisy Carnival (@edc_lasvegas)

This date shift to May comes after six straight years of the premiere dance music festival taking place in June.

"EDC Las Vegas is more than just a festival—it’s a community without boundaries, a celebration of life, art and dance music culture," Insomniac Founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella says of the thinking behind the change. "We strive to make every year better than the last, and after a lot of brainstorming and feedback from our community, we have decided to move next year's festival to May 18, 19 and 20. This way we can enjoy cooler weather, the gates can open earlier, and we can hold a very special opening ceremony each day at cosmicMEADOW."

But the dates aren't the only change coming to EDC. For the first time, the festival will open its doors to campers, providing a range of options from air-conditioned campers to tent camping and RV parking. This should go a long way toward curtailing the intense traffic that inevitably surrounds the festival each year due to the approximately 400,000 attendees that descend on Las Vegas over the festival weekend.

With gates opening earlier, reduced commuting, and cooler weather, EDC 2018 promises to deliver a streamlined experience for festival goers, making the pilgrimage to one of the world's biggest dance parties that much more enjoyable.
