Adele: '25' Lands 100th Week On Billboard 200
In November 2015, the album debuted at No. 1, selling 3.38 million units in its first week. Now, 100 weeks later, the album — which held the No. 1 spot for 10 nonconsecutive weeks — is still hovering on the chart, landing at 103 on the latest installment.
To date, 25 has moved approximately 10.9 million equivalent album units in the United States. Adele's prior album, 2011's 21, has spent 348 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, landing at 181 this week. 21, which won Album Of The Year at the 54th GRAMMY Awards, has totaled nearly 15 million units. Earlier this year, 21 set the mark for the most weeks on the Billboard 200 by a woman, besting Carole King's Tapestry — the Album Of The Year winner at the 14th GRAMMY Awards.
