OutKast's 'Speakerboxxx/The Love Below' | For The Record

This month marks 15 years since André 3000 and Big Boi released some of their most innovative work as individual artists in one double-album.

OutKast's Speakerboxx/The Love Below, though only 15-years-old, is a classic in its own right in many ways, most notably for how André 3000 and Big Boi were able to produce such innovative, influential tracks on their own but release their music together as a bold statement of who they were as OutKast. Behind the scenes, 120 songs were recorded at 4 different studios with 39 making it onto the final album. The result was a GRAMMY-winning album that was the second ever to win Album Of The Year at the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
