Leon Bridges: Meeting Austin & Joshua

Breakout Texas-based R&B singer/songwriter Leon Bridges released his highly anticipated debut album, Coming Home, in June on Columbia Records, clocking in at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The album boasts 10 original tracks, including the previously released fan favorites "Coming Home," "Better Man," "Lisa Sawyer," and "Smooth Sailin'." The album has garnered positive accolades from Rolling Stone, NPR, The Guardian and NME, among others. Apple chose Bridges to participate in its New Artist Spotlight program, which features up-and-coming artists as chosen by the editorial staff at iTunes/Apple Music. Bridges has also been featured on NPR's All Things Considered. Additionally, "Coming Home" can be heard in an Apple iPhone commercial, and ESPN featured the song throughout their 2015 NBA Finals coverage. Bridges' music career kicked off in Dallas/Forth Worth after a chance meeting with Austin Jenkins and Joshua Block of White Denim, who serve as producers on Coming Home. Bridges subsequently released his two breakout tracks —  "Coming Home" and "Better Man" — in October 2015 and then signed with Columbia Records.

The GRAMMY Museum welcomed Bridges to the Clive Davis Theater for an intimate performance and discussion surrounding his career and new album, moderated by Scott Goldman, Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation.
