Texas Chapter interviewed Nate Ruess at Austin City Limits 2015 about winning two GRAMMY Awards and his experience in the music business both in bands and as a solo artist. A new door opened for Ruess when after several albums and his first with Fun., he had a chance to sit with producer Jeff Bhasker. What happened subsequently included Fun.'s enormously successful 2012 album Some Nights, Ruess' 2015 solo project Grand Romantic, and songwriting for greats such as Eminem and Pink. At the 55th GRAMMY Awards, Fun. won Best New Artist and Ruess, along with his bandmates as individuals and Bhasker, won Song Of The Year for "We Are Young." "I feel so proud of what has been accomplished in the 15 years that I've worked that I really don't know what I'm going to do [next]," said Ruess. "That's beyond exciting for me."
