Pilgrimage Music Festival 2015 was held on Sept. 22–3 in Franklin, Tenn. and Chris Stapleton's landmark success Traveller had come out in May. Talking to Memphis Chapter, the discussion at the fest alternated between thanking insiders from his publishing as a songwriter to discussing songs and writing them in basic terms. "If there's a tactic, I just write songs," Stapleton said. "We try to make good choices, like you try to make good choices writing songs, and hopefully somewhere in the middle of all that you wind up with a career, of some kind." Traveller the album and its title track won Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance at the following 58th GRAMMY Awards. He won Best Country Album again for From A Room: Volume 1 at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, as well as an additional two for the tracks "Broken Halos" and "Either Way." That's five GRAMMY Awards so far. "We'll just keep doing that," he concluded.
