For the fifth consecutive year, GRAMMY Live, The Recording Academy's daylong live stream leading up to and through the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, has garnered a Webby Award nomination in the Events & Live Webcasts category. GRAMMY Live won a Webby in the category in 2010.

GRAMMY Live is also eligible for a Webby People's Voice Award. Voting for the Webby People's Voice Awards is open through April 24 and votes can be cast at the Webby Awards' website. The winners for the 18th Annual Webby Awards will be announced April 29 and honored at a ceremony on May 19.

GRAMMY Live provided music fans around the globe with a complete backstage pass to Music's Biggest Night, the 56th GRAMMY Awards, with exclusive live-streaming video, behind-the-scenes GRAMMY cams, photos, social media integration, official news reports, blogs, and personalized updates from mobile GRAMMY hosts. GRAMMY Live was the only place to view the Pre-Telecast Ceremony in its entirety, including live performances and the presentation of awards in approximately 70 GRAMMY categories, and served as a complement to the live telecast of the 56th GRAMMY Awards with a multiscreen experience offering backstage interviews, red-carpet coverage, pressroom question-and-answer sessions, historical GRAMMY moments, and a live feed of GRAMMY winners' portrait sessions.

GRAMMY Live also gave fans access to GRAMMY Week events, including the MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring Carole King, Clive Davis and The Recording Academy's Pre-GRAMMY Gala, and the official GRAMMY Celebration after-party.

Established by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, the Webby Awards honor excellence in Websites, Interactive Advertising & Media, Online Film & Video, Mobile & Apps, and Social categories.
