Folk-rock group the Lumineers recently performed a cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way" for an installment of The Recording Academy's ReImagined series. Linking GRAMMY history with the present, ReImagined is a performance-based series featuring artists interpreting an iconic GRAMMY-winning song, an interview and performances of original music.

"Go Your Own Way" garnered Fleetwood Mac a GRAMMY nomination for Best Arrangement For Voices in 1977. The song is featured on the band's GRAMMY Album Of The Year-winning Rumours, which also earned an induction into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame in 2003. In addition to their cover of "Go Your Own Way," the Lumineers performed two original songs, "Classy Girls" and "Dead Sea."

"It's a really big arrangement, [so we've] stripped it down [to] play it in a style we're accustomed to playing," said frontman Wesley Schultz. "[We've] molded it after some songs … we were already writing. … Because it would be impossible to try and redo."

The Lumineers were formed in 2002 in Ramsey, N.J., when childhood friends Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites turned to writing music as a means to cope with the death of Jeremiah's brother, Josh Fraites. The duo subsequently relocated to Denver where they met classically trained cellist Neyla Pekarek and began performing locally as a trio. Combining "heart-swelling stomp-and-clap acoustic rock, classic pop and front-porch folk," the Lumineers released their debut EP in 2011.

The group released their self-titled debut album on April 3. The set, which will be available on vinyl on May 1, features 11 tracks co-penned by Fraites and Schultz, including the singles "Classy Girls" and "Dead Sea," and peaked in the Top 50 on the Billboard 200. The Lumineers are currently on tour throughout the United States and UK and are scheduled to appear on "Conan" on May 7.
