Did you know?: Fronted by singer/songwriter Justin Vernon, Bon Iver made a strong debut at the 54th GRAMMY Awards, garnering nominations for Record and Song Of The Year for the haunting "Holocene" (video below), and taking home the Best New Artist trophy. The band, which takes their name from the French phrase for "good winter," also won Best Alternative Music Album for their self-titled sophomore set. Bon Iver was recorded in a veterinarian clinic turned recording studio in Fall Creek, Wis. The album, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, takes listeners on a musical journey with 10 tracks named after places such as "Perth," "Lisbon, OH," "Hinnom, TX," and "Calgary."
