Watch Adam Clayton's powerful MusiCares speech on recovery
U2 bassist Adam Clayton was honored with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award at the 2017 MusiCares MAP Fund benefit on June 26 in New York. During his acceptance speech, Clayton spoke at length about his personal struggle with addiction, how Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend helped him on the path to recovery, and why he's grateful to his wife, Island Records founder Chris Blackwell and his U2 bandmates — Bono, The Edge and Larry Mullen — for their support over the years.
