Copa Del Rave Charity Soccer Tournament Partners With MusiCares
The Copa del Rave charity soccer tournament will return for its second installment on Oct. 24 at Evolve Los Angeles' Frogtown neighborhood. Star DJs and industry professionals from the electronic music world will compete for bragging rights and to raise funds for MusiCares. The money raised will be set aside to benefit individuals in need from the electronic music community.
Eight teams in all will compete in the tournament, including hopefuls Beatsource, Future Classic, LIAMOUS United, Live Nation, Mad Decent, Native Instruments and Three Six Zero and defending champions Red Light Management. Confirmed DJ players include Diplo, Ardalan, TEED, Chris Lorenzo, Borgore and more.
In April, Copa del Rave raised over $12,000 for music charities, prompting organizers to return to the pitch for a good cause, this time to benefit MusiCares.
"The response and enthusiasm around the April event was huge, and it just made sense to come back in the Fall," said Copa del Rave founders Jonathan McDonald, Alastair Duncan and Ardalan. "We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with MusiCares and raising money for those in need within our community. It should be a great tournament, and based on the last one, pretty competitive!"
