COVID-19 RELIEF FAQ

The MusiCares COVID-19 Relief has helped upwards of 18,000 music industry artists and professionals affected by the pandemic. This is the most recipients helped, for any single event in our history. However, the need remains great, and these unique times remain critical for music people. MusiCares and our partners at the Recording Academy are working relentlessly to raise more money to support those in the music community affected by COVID-19.

FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

How can MusiCares help?

MusiCares continues its support of the music industry through the COVID-19 pandemic focusing on the most pressing needs of the community. Unfortunately, this pandemic has economically devastated the business of music, but has equally if not more, devastated the community’s health and safety. Support will be prioritized to those who are experiencing a medical, dental, mental health, insurance, substance abuse or eviction crisis.

No Community Left Behind

Systemic health and social disparities have put underrepresented communities at an increased risk of getting COVID-19 or experiencing severe illness, regardless of age. Studies show that severe illness and death rates tend to be higher for racial and ethnic minority populations during public health emergencies than for other groups. Addressing the needs of these communities includes improving day-to-day life and increasing access to potentially life-saving resources. MusiCares is committed to supporting all music professionals and has developed a list of helpful information and resources.
