The Vans Warped Tour will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a special theatrical event in more than 460 movie theaters nationwide on Sept. 17, with a portion of ticket sale proceeds going to MusiCares. The Vans Warped Tour 15th Anniversary Celebration one-night event will feature two-hours of all-star headliner performances recorded in Los Angeles including performances by the All-American Rejects, Bad Religion, Blink 182, Ice-T, Pennywise, and Katy Perry, among others. On Sept. 19, nine of Seattle's best-loved music venues will be doing their part to support the musicians who perform on their local stages. Seattle Cares For MusiCares is being held to raise funds for the MusiCares Foundation with each participating venue donating a portion of the evening's ticket sales to MusiCares. The participating venues are Chop Suey, Comet Tavern, the Crocodile, Dimitriou's Jazz Alley, Highway 99 Blues Club, the Sunset Tavern, Tractor Tavern, the Triple Door, and Tula's. As part of our ongoing efforts to address the problems of addiction in the music industry, MusiCares will focus on the topic of relapse and relapse prevention at a series of panels during National Recovery Month.
