Reducing The Stigma Of Addiction
All recording artists know the stresses and issues that surface in a relationship due to weeks and months of touring or from long hours spent in the recording studio. The lives artists lead often take a toll on their marriages and families.
In an effort to come to recognize some of these issues, MusiCares and Porter's Call invite you to an evening of teaching and discussion centered on meeting these challenges in a creative, helpful and practical way. This will be an informal gathering led by Al and Nita Andrews. Al Andrews has been the director of Porter's Call for 12 years. Porter's Call, based in Franklin, Tenn., is a service of counsel and support for recording artists. Nita Andrews, who formerly worked at Porter's Call, now spends her time in her art studio and manages Creative Lectio, a series of groups that lead women through creativity exercises. To RSVP, call MusiCares at 615.327.0050, or email email@example.com. Light snacks will be provided.
