MusiCares will present Musicians In Pain — Get Help And Keep Your Gig in memory of the late rock keyboardist Keith Emerson. The program will be presented by Jill Gambaro, author of The Truth About Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Gambaro will share what she learned from her own experiences, from serving five years on the board of the Los Angeles Repetitive Strain Injury Support Group and the Cumulative Trauma Disorders Resources Network, and in writing dozens of articles and conducting interviews. MusiCares and The Recording Academy's Producers & Engineers Wing are pleased to offer free on-site hearing tests for music professionals attending the AES Convention in Los Angeles, Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. MusiCares will be joined by ASI Health Services, which will administer hearing screenings, and audiologists will be available to review test results with eligible participants who complete brief paperwork to qualify through MusiCares.
