The seventh annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert will honor Depeche Mode lead singer Dave Gahan and Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on May 6.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler will present Gahan with the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award for his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, and for his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction recovery process. Concert promoter Gary Tovar will present Lyman with MusiCares' From The Heart Award for his unconditional friendship and dedication to the mission and goals of the organization.

Hosted by comedian Greg Behrendt, the evening will feature a special performance by Gahan with producer/musician Vincent Jones and bassist Martyn LeNoble, as well as performances by Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, drummer Curt Bisquera, Jane's Addiction, guitarists David Levita and Jason Orme, two-time GRAMMY winners Ozomatli and a special acoustic performance by Paramore. Adam Bravin and Justin Warfield from She Wants Revenge will DJ live during dinner. Additional performers to be announced.

On May 9 MusiCares will collaborate with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum to present its first free dental clinic for Cleveland-area musicians. The clinic will be held at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and will provide pre-registered members of the Cleveland music community with dental exams, teeth cleaning and X-rays at no charge. Following the clinic, participants will have the chance to tour the museum and its exhibits. Men At Work frontman Colin Hay will perform a special concert on May 11 at Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles in celebration of his new album, Gathering Mercury. The album is a portrait of Hay the performer, songwriter, recording artist, and perhaps most importantly the man behind the persona, with lyrics revealing the emotional peaks and valleys of the past year during which time Hay lost his father. MusiCares will provide a free medical clinic for Nashville-area music professionals on May 12 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The clinic will be held at Faith Family Medical Clinic and will provide pre-registered applicants with comprehensive physical exams, blood and laboratory tests, and/or an examination related to a specific issue at no charge.
