MusiCares Healthy Essentials presents: “Beautiful Minds: Mental health and the Creative Mind”
Exploring mental illness and addiction issues from an artist perspective with Justin Pierre (Motion City Soundtrack) & Lance Mercer (Local artist/musician/photographer)

Join MusiCares for this discussion focusing on mental health issues, including addiction, and the impact they can have on the creative process.

Musicians and other creative individuals are no less immune to the challenges posed by mental illness than the public-at-large, but perhaps may be even more susceptible to some of those struggles including substance abuse.

By identifying and addressing some of these challenges through this forum MusiCares is working to not only raise awareness, but reframe the perception of what it means to be someone living with a mental health issue.

This is a free event and guests are welcome. Please register online or by calling 1.800.687.4227.
