The Austin MusiCares Sober Jam is excited to announce that we will be featuring the Superband on July 30 at 7 p.m. The Sober Jam is located at the Gibson Guitar Austin Showroom in Austin, Texas. MusiCares, Smile Programs…the mobile dentists, and the American Federation of Musicians New Orleans Local 174-496 are proud to partner to provide a dental clinic offering screenings, teeth cleaning and X-rays to uninsured music professionals in need.
These services will be provided free of charge to pre-screened, pre-approved applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested in taking advantage of this service must be able to document their work in the music industry for at least five years or have credited contribution to six commercially released recordings or videos (singles).

MusiCares, with support from the Bohemian Foundation, will be a part of this year's Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest in historic downtown Fort Collins, Colo. MusiCares will be hosting a Safe Harbor Room featuring daily 12-step meetings throughout the weekend for artists, staff, crew, and backstage guests in recovery. Additionally, MusiCares, in partnership with Starkey Hearing Foundation and Dr. Andrea Hardy, will offer complementary hearing tests and evaluations on Aug. 11 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the festival's MusiCares table outside of the green room backstage.
MusiCares, in collaboration with Smiles … the mobile dentists, will sponsor a free dental clinic for music professionals in the Detroit area. Eligible music professionals will receive a complete dental exam, bitewing X-rays and dental cleaning free of charge. All appointments must be scheduled in advance. The clinic will be held during the Detroit Jazz Festival. To qualify, participants must document at least five years of professional experience in the music industry.
