Four-time GRAMMY-winning band Aerosmith will be honored as the 2020 MusiCares Person of the Year. The tribute will take place during the 30th Anniversary MusiCares benefit gala, two nights prior to the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast.

On October 7th, MusiCares is partnering with Sounds of Saving to present: Men Speak Out: A Conversation about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in the Music Industry. Nick Greto (founder of Sounds of Savings), Corbin Dooley (DJ/Producer) and G. Herbo (Rapper/Songwriter) will engage in conversation moderated by Charlie Gross (psychotherapist). This all-male panel brings a unique perspective to these important topics.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, on October 8 MusiCares is taking part in the “Come Together” Mental Health Music Festival, a Sound Mind benefit festival to support mental health programs during the COVID-19 crisis. The event will be live-streamed to YouTube and include a live-chat and fundraising for COVID-19 mental health services. MusiCares, National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City, Mental Health America, and other mental health organizations will be speaking about critical mental health resources during this time. There will also be break-out performances and panels on topics such as Mental Health & the BIPOC Community, Mental Health in the Music Industry, and Mental Health & the LGBTQ+ community.
