JamFest 7 will take place on March 10 at the Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, Calif., and is open to the public. JamFest was started by Bridges Academy, located in Studio City, Calif., in 2006 as a means to raise money and awareness for MusiCares by bringing students from various schools together to celebrate and share music. The idea of a younger generation showcasing their skills and what they learned from the musicians who have gone before them, while simultaneously raising funds for music people in need, has been a resonant and symbiotic opportunity for all involved. Now, six schools are enthusiastically carrying on the tradition of raising money to help those who had initially inspired their own musical awakening. JamFest is a tradition that is inspiring others and continues to grow each year. For ticket information, visit www.jamfest.us.
