Join GRAMMY U for a Masterclass with mixing engineer and producer, Ebonie Smith, as she demonstrates the comprehensive process for recording an artist. The featured artists in this Masterclass will be Memphis-based funk duo, The PRVLG. This program is in collaboration with the Recording Academy’s Black Music Collective and Powered by Mastercard.

Join the Recording Academy® Memphis Chapter, GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi and the Black Music Collective for a virtual event celebrating Willie Mitchell and the Music of Royal Studios. GRAMMY® winning writer/filmmaker Robert Gordon will interview key recording artists who have recorded at Royal Studios, including GRAMMY-winning artists Dee Dee Bridgewater, Steve Jordan and Boo Mitchell. We’ll also have a few surprises highlighting the musical creativity that continues to flow out of this historic studio, including recreations of classic recordings made at Royal Studios.

The City of Chicago is celebrating 60 years of the Recording Academy Chicago Chapter with a FREE concert at Millennium Park. Join us on Thursday, September 16 for GRAMMY Legacies and Looking Ahead, the final concert of the Millennium Park Summer Series presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events. Featuring Jamila Woods and four-time GRAMMY winners Eighth Blackbird with special guests J. Ivy, Karim Sulayman, and Tarrey Torae. Plus a special performance by Valebol!
