Uruguayan artist, dancer, singer and entertainer Abigail Pereira performs "Cosas Buenas" for GRAMMY.com's inaugural TRANScendent Sounds Fest. The feel-good pop tune offers an uplifting, unifying message to those who have ever been "othered" or have felt alone in the world, while also addressing the ongoing issues of discrimination in our society.
A human rights activist and LGBTQ+ advocate, Pereira is the first Trans woman to be approved for permanent residence for her extraordinary talents, marking an outstanding case for immigration in the U.S. and the world. Pereira is also a proud member of the Latin Recording Academy.
Presented by GRAMMY.com, TRANScendent Sounds Fest (TSF) is a virtual music festival spotlighting a diverse roster of Transgender artists. While TSF is meant to serve as a celebration, it also brings awareness to the ever-present social hurdles of the community at large and the disproportionate levels of violence that specifically harm Black Trans women.
