You Know The Nominees…
On Dec. 1 "The GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!!" announced all the nominees for the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. Next stop: finding out who wins on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, on CBS.
But between then and now, GRAMMY.com will be your active hub for all things GRAMMY leading up to the big night. For the next two months, we'll present features, blogs, video, and more featuring the artists you love.
Our GRAMMY Rewind feature will look back on GRAMMYs past as we head to the GRAMMYs present, highlighting not just the year's winners, but also the nominees who just missed taking home the GRAMMY, as well prized archival video of acceptance speeches by everyone from Bob Dylan and Fleetwood Mac to John Legend, Taylor Swift and Amy Winehouse.
Our community bloggers will set up the horse races in many different genres, providing thought-provoking commentary on which you can give your own two cents. We'll also have blogs from first-time GRAMMY nominees, giving you insight into what it feels like to be nominated, and the challenge of picking out just the right GRAMMY outfit for the red carpet.
As we get closer to the show, we'll present an exclusive interview with this year's MusiCares Person of the Year, Barbra Streisand. The entertainment legend grants few interviews, but she will share her thoughts on her career and this special honor with GRAMMY.com.
When we hit GRAMMY Week on Feb. 7, the momentum really starts to build. We'll have galleries full of celebrity photos from GRAMMY-related events around Los Angeles. GRAMMY Live!, our 24/7, three-day live webcast beginning Feb. 11, will provide fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience leading up to and through Music's Biggest Night, including the GRAMMY Awards and GRAMMY Celebration after party, with artist commentary, event highlights, backstage interviews, and more.
GRAMMY Live! will also include our full live webcast of the GRAMMY Pre-Telecast ceremony, during which nearly 100 categories of awards are presented to dozens of major stars and music artists in a non-televised event right before the GRAMMY telecast. GRAMMY.com will be your only access to this unique portion of "GRAMMY Sunday."
After the show, the party continues, with exclusive GRAMMY coverage and select GRAMMY performances available for download at iTunes.
