Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y Plot North American Tour
Last month, 10-time GRAMMY-nominated rapper Wiz Khalifa stoked the flames of anticipation for his collaboration with Curren$y by telling fans their joint album, 2009, would finally drop in 2019. Now, the project takes a huge step forward as the duo have announced a North American tour together.
The 22-date trek will take Wiz and Curren$y across North America, kicking off Feb. 8 in Seattle and continuing through early March, making stops along the way in San Francisco, Portland, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas, and closing out in San Antonio.
Khalifa released the 25-track album Rolling Papers 2 last July. Curren$y's most recent release was 2015's Canal Street Confidential. The two rappers put out a mix tape together in 2013, Live In Concert, leaving fans looking for more ever since. With the 2009 tour on the books, hopes for the album climb even higher.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation, and Khalifa has also teased a limited-edition run of 2009 merchandise, coming soon.
