White Stripes' Early Years Revisited In Third Man Vault Package
Third Man Records announced a new exclusive Vault Package release featuring three Detroit 2000-era concert recordings by the White Stripes.
Recorded at three different Detroit venues — the Magic Bag, The Magic Stick and the Gold Dollar — The White Stripes Live In Detroit: 1999–2000–2001 spotlights the time between the band's debut album and their sophomore release, 2001's White Blood Cells.
Third Man revealed each live album in the three-LP set will be cut on 180-gram vinyl at the their plant in Detroit and come with high quality reproduction prints of posters from the shows, designed by Jack White, according to Rolling Stone.
Ahead of the package's release, the White Stripes posted samples from these shows on their SoundCloud page, including a portion of a rare cover of Captain Beefheart's "Ashtray Heart."
In order to receive this edition of Third Man's Vault Package, fans must sign up via the label's website by Oct. 31.
