Music fans waiting for the Beatles' catalog at online digital retailers such as iTunes should consider coming up for air. "Don't hold your breath...for anything," said Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon. "There's just an element that we're not very happy about, as people. We are holding out," added Ono, who also pointed out that her comments did not necessarily reflect the three other equal shareholders in Apple Corps — Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Olivia Harrison, the widow of George Harrison. Will the Beatles ever give digital a chance? In the meantime, a new Lennon documentary, LENNONYC, will premiere on Nov. 22 on PBS. Ono also hinted at projects on the horizon to commemorate Lennon's 70th birthday on Oct. 9 and the 30th anniversary of his murder on Dec. 8.
Van Halen fans collectively jumped this past week when Warner/Chappell Music released a statement saying the venerable rock band was in the studio recording a new album with original frontman David Lee Roth. Diamond Dave, who last helmed a Van Halen studio effort when he was hot for teachers and Ronald Reagan was president, rejoined Alex and Eddie Van Halen in 2007 for a successful reunion tour, with the lineup rounded out by Eddie's teenage son, Wolfgang, on bass. One person who likely isn't excited is the Kinks' Dave Davies, who recently took a 32-year belated shot at Van Halen's 1978 cover of their classic "You Really Got Me." "Van Halen's version was very Middle America," said Davies. "It was like, 'Hey man, look at me with my tight trousers! Here's our version of 'You Really Got Me'!" Still, fans are likely happy at the prospects of re-runnin' with the devil.
It seems Train's "Drops Of Jupiter" was responsible for the breakup of Charlie Sheen and estranged wife Brooke Mueller. No, really. According to TMZ, Sheen reportedly told police that Mueller became enraged when she discovered that Sheen and his daughter shared "Drops Of Jupiter" as a special song. Train singer Pat Monahan tweeted an upbeat note about the incident: "I'm pretty sure that 'Drops Of Jupiter' is a positive part of Charlie Sheen and his daughter's relationship. Just gonna look at it that way." Mueller claimed ignorance about the story.

We all know Ozzy Osbourne is big on bats, crazy trains and paranoia, but he isn't a fan of dead cats…at least on people. As part of his health column for The Sunday Times, the Prince of Darkness provided advice to a reader whose husband is having hair issues. "I know a lot of men who are obsessed with losing their hair…I'd just shave it all off, although it's easy for me to say I suppose. Then there's the option of buying [a wig]. But that comes with all kinds of other risks." Osbourne regaled readers with a true follicle-based story, which saw him rip the hairpiece off the head of a bargoer. "Then I put it back again — the wrong way. He was furious. But he looked ridiculous in it. It was like he was keeping a dead cat up there. So if I put him off wearing that thing ever again, I probably did him a favor."
Taylor Swift is now a hall of famer. Which hall would induct someone just 20 years of age? Swift was chosen to be enshrined as a celebrity inductee into the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. Swift, who has been known to bowl a game or two, was among nine celebrities vying for the prestigious honor, beating out our favorite celebrity heartthrob bowler Justin Bieber. The Arlington, Texas-based museum will display Swift's photo and a plaque later this summer. Looks like the Bieb needs to get serious about his game.

"I've enjoyed music forever, and photography, so one plus one!" Johnson said. And who is going to deny a 6-foot-10-inch pitching great a photo pass?
