Watch: Trailer for Bob Dylan Gospel Tour Film "Trouble No More"
Over the past year, the period of Bob Dylan's career widely know as his "born again" era (1979-1981) has been revisited in a major way, including an extensive box set, a book by Dylan biographer Clinton Heylin and the announcement of a film covering the gospel years tour called Trouble No More.
A new trailer for the film shows the unearthed live tour footage mixed with sermons written by Luc-Sante and delivered by actor Michael Shannon as "The Preacher."
The film comes just three months after the aforementioned Bootleg Series box set, also titled Trouble No More, which takes a deep dive into the unreleased live and studio recordings Dylan created in the year surround his three religious-themed albums, Slow Train Coming, Saved and Shot Of Love.
The film, Trouble No More, includes never-before-seen footage from Dylan's 1979-1980 "gospel tour," and premieres Feb. 26 at 10 p.m. on Cinemax.
