Watch Jessie Mueller Honor Lou Adler & Carole King At GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends
The GRAMMY-winning actress and singer, who took part in a musical about King's life as a singer on Broadway five years ago, paid tribute to the GRAMMY-winning producer by singing two songs he produced for King: "I Feel The Earth Move" and "It's Too Late."
Adler, one of the night's Trustees Award honorees, not only signed King, but helped develop her career as a solo artist. He also worked with the Mamas & the Papas, Jan & Dean and more.
"It's a beautiful thing for me to be out here tonight, it really is," Mueller said about being apart of the special night.
Other Trustee Award honorees were Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson, and Johnny Mandel. The Recording Academy’s also paid tribute to Black Sabbath, George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Billy Eckstine, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, Sam & Dave and Dionne Warwick.
