In an event billed as both a "celebration" and "conversation," singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha hosted a special dinner on Feb. 27 for around 40 of music's top female artists, producers and songwriters, calling the night the Women In Harmony dinner.

Bebe Rexha: "I Got You" Inspiration

Among the musical heavyweights in attendance were Sevyn Streeter, Latin GRAMMY Song Of The Year-winning songwriter Erika Ender ("Despacito"), Aluna Francis of AlunaGeorge, Avril Lavigne, Kelsea Ballerini, and many more.

"We're at a time where celebrating women is of utmost importance, and I think everybody in this room has always been a champion of female empowerment," said Charli XCX of the evening. "This is a room of amazingly talented songwriters, who have had multiple Billboard No. 1s. … It's important to shine a light on this community."

Hinting that she plans for the event to continue as an annual recurrence, Rexha told Billboard, "I want it to become what the Clive Davis [annual pre-GRAMMYs Gala] is. … I would love to expand it to executives and just really be a celebration for women in the music business."

It's been just under a month since Charli XCX, who is on tour with Taylor Swift, gifted us with her new single, "5 In The Morning." On June 27, we also got a video to accompany the catchy pop-forward track.

In the relatively understated video directed by Bradley & Pablo, the GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter takes over an empty warehouse where she's "goin' all in." Colored lights strobe flash all around her unchoreographed dance moves. Like the song itself, Charli XCX proves that she's got it all covered, thank you very much.

This is the latest we've heard from Charli XCX since the release of her Pop 2 mixtape in December 2017. Before dropping "5 In The Morning," the British songstress teased she is "going to release a lot music this year." With this track, Charli XCX has set the bar high for what comes next, which we can only assume won't arrive "'til the bottles all popped."

Currently in the midst of a huge tour as an opening act for Taylor Swift's top-selling Reputation tour, it seems Charli XCX has also carved out some time for her own music.

On May 31, the British singer/songwriter released a new single, "5 In The Morning." It arrived just hours after Charli XCX teased she is "going to release a lot music this year," so much so we're "gonna be so f***ing sick of" her. Somehow we doubt it.

The track, which Billboard calls a "flashy banger," has a hip-hop vibe with an empowering message for all those who are "busy ballin'": "I'm goin' all in/ It's 5 in the mornin', I'm busy ballin'/I ain't even stoppin'/It's 5 in the mornin', I'm so devoted."

While we wait for what else Charli XCX has in store, you can likely catch some of her new music if you head out to see her on tour.

GRAMMY-winning gods of thrash metal Slayer are finally hanging up their guitar straps and retiring from life on the road.

Amid their previously announced European farewell tour, the band have now revealed their final shows in the U.K., with a planned run of six dates across England, Scotland and Ireland.

Along for the ride are Anthrax — GRAMMY-nominated icons of thrash in their own right — and GRAMMY-nominated metalcore rockers Lamb Of God, with additional tour support from death metal pioneers Obituary.

In a 2016 Loudwire interview, bassist Tom Araya joked, "After 35 years, it's time to like, collect my pension."

Slayer's final sonic assault on the European territories will kick off on Nov. 1 in Dublin, Ireland, and run through Dec. 8, where it will sow its final seeds of mayhem in Helsinki, Finland.

Tickets to all shows will go on sale on May 18.

Music fans in Columbus, Ohio, are in for a treat this summer as Breakaway Music Festival has just unleashed a killer lineup for their flagship three-day multigenre event Breakaway Columbus.

With a lineup stacked with the names Flosstradamus, Smokepurpp, Jaden Smith, Flatbush Zombies, Chris Lake, and more, plus Halsey, ODESZA, and Migos tapped as daily headliners, the event's made it loud and clear that Breakaway Columbus is where Ohio residents can find a festival with energetic, forward-thinking lineups right in their own backyard.

And if the billing of rising stars of rap, electronic/dance, and pop wasn't incentive enough, Kaskade and Khalid will be putting in an appearance as the festival's mysteriously billed "special guests."

Columbus, we are proud to present your Breakaway Music Festival 2018 lineup! #BreakawayColumbus
