Taylor Swift Sends Cardi B Flowers For "Bodak Yellow"
In case you missed the hottest chart news of the week, rapper Cardi B has been heating things up with "Bodak Yellow," and now she's landed in the top spot. This is especially momentous because she is the first (and only the fifth ever) female solo rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 since Lauryn Hill's GRAMMY-winning hit "Doo-Wop (That Thing)" in 1998.
Cardi B's rise to the top of the charts was carefully watched because in order to reach the peak, she needed to dethrone GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" from a fourth week at No. 1. Now that she's succeeded, there's clearly no bad blood between these two pioneering female musicians.
Swift sent the rapper flowers to honor her accomplishments. Cardi B took to Instagram to show off her bouquet and thank the GRAMMY winner adding, "I freaking love your music."
