Taylor Swift Opens Tour With Camila Cabello, Charli XCX
Arguably one of the most anticipated tours of 2018, Taylor Swift kicked off the first leg of her Reputation Tour in Glendale, Ariz., on May 8, and it did not disappoint the 60,000 fans in attendance.
The GRAMMY winner took fans through songs from her latest album, Reputation, as well as fan favorites spanning her entire discography — "Should've Said No" (2006's Taylor Swift), "Love Story and "You Belong With Me" (2008's Fearless), "Long Live" (2010's Speak Now), "All Too Well" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (2012's Red), and "Shake It Off" (2014's 1989).
She also added a little extra magic to some of her songs, including a can't-miss mash-up of "Bad Blood" and "Should've Said No" and an acoustic version of Reputation's "Dancing With Our Hands Tied." The latter showed that even though the singer/songwriter has wandered far from her country beginnings, her songwriting comes from the same place. "I still write songs the same way," she said.
Swift has engaged Camila Cabello and Charli XCX as her tour openers, and they had their moment onstage with Swift during the main event, too. During a rendition of Swift's popular hit "Shake It Off," Cabello and XCX joined in the fun, trading lines and dancing it out. Comedian/actress Tiffany Haddish also made a cameo in a pre-taped segment for "Look What You Made Me Do."
This first leg of Swift's Reputation Tour winds through North America before concluding June 2 in Chicago. She'll then spend six dates across the pond in the U.K. before traveling stateside for the second leg of the North American tour, which starts June 30 in Louisville, Ky., and wraps up Oct. 6 in Arlington, Texas.
Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.
