Stevie Wonder To Play Five Las Vegas Shows Celebrating Life, Love & Music
GRAMMY-winning music icon Stevie Wonder announced a new series of shows in Las Vegas at the Park Theatre located inside Park MGM Grand casino and resort beginning on Aug. 3. The five shows running through Aug. 11 have been titled "Stevie Wonder Song Party: Celebrating Life, Love & Music."
Formerly known as the Monte Carlo, Park MGM has hosted residencies of Cher and Ricky Martin in the past. The 68-year-old Wonder teased last week that he'll be performing in Las Vegas and elsewhere to "celebrate life, love and music and push back against troubled times," according to Billboard.
With 25 GRAMMYs, Wonder is one of the top GRAMMY winners of all time. He was honored with a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996. In 2015 he was feted with "Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life — An All-Star GRAMMY Salute," a CBS GRAMMY special that featured all-star performances by a Beyoncé, Andrea Bocelli, Gary Clark Jr., Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, John Legend, and Pharrell Williams, among others.
Wonder's run is the latest addition to Vegas' exciting calendar of upcoming residencies. The pre-sale for tickets to his Las Vegas shows begins May 16 with tickets going on sale to the general public on May 21 via Ticketmaster.
